AICV

AICV® (Autonomous Inflow Control Valve) is a patented game-changing technology developed by InflowControl. The AICVs can replace conventional ICDs (Inflow Control Devices) and ICV’s (Intelligent Control Valves), and ensure significant increase in oil production and recovery without any well intervention required.

The AICVs can be used in reservoirs where unwanted fluid production (water / gas) is problematic and/or is a potential problem soon after the wells are activated (such as in thin oil rim reservoirs). The AICVs enable uniform inflow profile along the wellbore and provides a phase filtering that chokes the unwanted gas and water zones yet remains open for the oil rich zones. This reduces OPEX costs and increased recovery factors.

The AICV combines the best from AICD and ICV eliminating the gas and water breakthrough problems within all oil reservoirs and have been deployed worldwide in over 100 wells as of the end of 2020.
